Description
Do you want a healthy garden without infestations of the spotted wing drosophila?
Simply make an attractant yourself using the recipe below and pour it into the trap. This attracts and catches the spotted wing drosophila, counteracting their mass reproduction.
Recipe:
- 50% water
- 40% vinegar (fruit or apple cider vinegar)
- 10% red wine
- A few squirts of odourless detergent
Tip:
0.5% acetone (0.5l to 100l attractant) increases the attractiveness drastically!
When you have made the attractant, simply pour in 75ml per trap and hang it on susceptible fruit plants (cherries, blackberries, raspberries, strawberries, blueberries, plums, elderberries, grapes) - if possible in a shaded area - before the culture changes colour. The ideal height is between 2 and 3m (the flight height of the insects). The attractant works for about 2 weeks, after which you should change it.
- 1 set = 6 cup traps
Application period:
At the latest when the fruit begins to change colour.
Remarks:
- Do not confuse the spotted wing drosophila with the cherry fruit fly
- Under no circumstances should the contents of the trap be emptied in the garden. Dispose of it via the sewage system
- After the fishing season, the traps can be dismantled and cleaned in the dishwasher or by hand
