Description
The leaves and stalks of the plant are hairy and form purple-red flowers. The nitrogen-collecting bacteria on the roots prepare the soil for the following harvest. The plants form an enormous amount of green leaves, which is very important for the shading of the soil. Crimson clover is often used as fodder for livestock, but it must then be cut before flowering. Not hardy, green manure crop.
