Dürr Samen Red Ball Beetroot Seed Band

This proven, early variety produces uniformly dark red beets with smooth skin and fine roots. It has rarely bolts and is low in nitrates. The beets taste delicious as salad vegetables, and are also suitable for wet canning as well as for use as juice and colouring agents.

Our tips:

• The seed band can be put out under fleece from February
• Germination temperature: 12-20°C
• When laying out the seed tape, water before covering with soil for a secure connection to the ground
• Row spacing: 15-20cm
• Always keep moist
• Requires loose, humus-rich soil that does not become muddy
• Low consumption - low fertiliser requirement
