De Bolster Organic Pumpkin "Fictor"

The Fictor variety is a climbing orange pumpkin variety with vigorous growth, a high yield and a long shelf life. It grows well even in unfavourable weather and has a shiny rind.

The Fictor and "Solor" varieties can be planted together as pumpkins are cross-pollinators. Bumblebees and bees pollinate the plants, which in turn attract the pollinators with the high nectar content of their flowers. Pumpkins exert a great attraction on insects due to their high nectar content in the flowers. To ensure the best harvest, as soon as the first female flowers appear, make sure that there are:

• enough male flowers
• that the quality of the pollen is good

For this reason, the Solor and Fictor varieties complement each other well. We recommend a planting ratio of about 2/3 Fictor and 1/3 Solor.

• Harvest with their stems before storing them.
