Sperli Paper Reed "Sperli's Fun for Cats"

The Egyptian paper plant is a marsh plant that grows over 3 m high in dense reed belts in its African homeland. The reeds were made into paper in ancient times by cutting them into strips, placing them crosswise and pressing them. They make attractive houseplants, planter plants or water plants. It grows quickly and easily and needs a bright, moderately warm location for hibernation. It can spend the summer outdoors, preferably in a pool of water.
