Saflax Ponderosa Pine

The hardy Ponderosa Pine grows very quickly in height and is considered the largest pine species in the world. The needles can grow up to 30 cm long and the cones are also huge. It prefers a sunny location. The Ponderosa Pine is extremely robust and can withstand long periods of drought as well as various pests and diseases.

Tips for cultivation:

• Store seeds in the refrigerator for one week
• Then let them soak in water for 12 - 24 hours
• Place seeds approx. 1 cm deep in moist potting soil
• Cover with cling film and poke holes in it
• Remove the film every two to three days for 2 hours
• Keep the substrate moist but not wet
