Saflax Empress Tree

The Empress Tree is a deciduous hardwood tree that bears violet blossoms with an intense, sweet fragrance starting in April. It features an airy crown and can reach an impressive height of up to 15 metres. In its younger years, the tree requires winter protection; however, once established, it is frost-hardy down to -15°C.

Cultivation Tips:

• Scatter the seeds onto moist seed-starting soil
• Cover them with approximately 1 cm of starting substrate
• Cover with cling film and prick holes in it for ventilation
• Remove the film every two to three days for 2 hours to prevent mould
• Keep the starting soil consistently moist
