Kiepenkerl fertiliser lupins make a significant contribution to maintaining the health of and to improving garden soil. By binding nutrients, they also increase the yield and quality of subsequent crops such as vegetables and flowers in the long term. Fertiliser lupins form numerous nodule bacteria on their tap roots, which penetrate up to 200cm into the soil, accumulating nitrogen. The fertiliser lupins are therefore particularly suitable as a preculture for plants that require a lot of nitrogen, such as cabbages and leeks (high-consumption eaters). At the time of flowering, the area is transformed into a richly blooming, pale blue sea of flowers.
