Kiepenkerl Corn Salad- "Accent"
Valerianella locusta

Description
Crisp, tender and tasty corn salad, also called Rapunzel or Lamb's Lettuce (Valeria locusta).
This fine vegetable is becoming increasingly popular because the vitamin C rich, spoon-shaped leaves have a nutty flavor. This breed can be particularly easily harvested by its upright leaf rosettes. The leaf rosettes need very little space, which is an advantage especially in the greenhouse. The perfect complement to extra virgin olive oil and basil vinegar. Italian classics such as diced peppers, mortadella, a little Parmesan cheese or a hearty bacon can be combined with this lettuce for a culinary delight!
