Description
Anise is a very popular spice in Eastern cuisine. The seeds are mainly used for baking bread or Christmas biscuits but are also used in teas. The seeds can be chewed after a meal to freshen the breath.
Sowing: pre-cultivation from March / April on. From May, the seeds can be planted outdoors.
- Row spacing: 30 x 10 cm.
- Germinate slowly - soak the grains overnight before planting.
Harvest: Harvest the leaves after 3-4 months. The seeds can be harvested in September/October when the plant starts to wither. Cut the seeds and leave them to dry in open paper bags. After 14 days, pour the seeds into glass jars and store dark, cool and dry.
