Bionana Organic Real Coriander

Coriander is particularly popular in Asian cuisine and it is impossible to imagine many popular dishes without it. It has a fine-tart, bitter-sweet aroma and its leaves are visually similar to parsley. Coriander is also highly valued in herbal medicine.

Our tips:

• The leaves can be harvested both before and after flowering
• In addition to the leaves, the seeds can also be used
• Thrives in a sunny, sheltered spot
• Suitable for outdoors and in pots
• Requires loose, nutrient-rich soil
• To harvest the leaves, we recommend sowing from April to June
• To harvest the seeds earlier, we recommend sowing from March to April
• No fertilisation necessary - very high nutrient concentration leads to a reduction in aromatic essential oils
• For a particularly high yield of leaves, buds and whole shoots should be harvested from top to bottom
• To harvest the seeds, the plant can be allowed to bloom freely - the fruit capsules turn light brown shortly before ripening and they can then be harvested. They should be allowed to ripen further and dry out to facilitate the collection of seeds.
