Description
The sour fig, also known as the "ice plant", is native to South Africa and also grows in many coastal areas of southern Europe. The beautiful flowers in pink or yellow develop throughout the year. The fruits, which look like small figs, are often made into jam. The bark is leathery so that water does not evaporate quickly.
