Description
Peanuts are a botanical peculiarity. After the yellow flowers have been fertilised, their young fruit bore into the soil and develop underground. The flowers are golden yellow and are only open for a few hours. During this time, they pollinate themselves. The peanuts can be harvested after about 180 to 200 days.
Tip: Before eating, dry the peanuts in their shells in the oven at 120 to 160 ° C for approx. 20 min.
