What makes the Sonnenglas® so special?

This is a sustainable light source that features an attractive design that is an enhancement to every balcony and home. The solar module stores energy during the day which is then released at night in the form of light. The solar module can also be used without the glass jar. Its small size is easy to tuck into any backpack or pocket as a convenient source of light when you are out and about - ideal for camping too! It is not only a source of light and a stylish design element but also reduces your ecological footprint.

How it works:

• Place the Sonnenglas® or just the solar module in direct sunlight.
• Once the Sonnenglas® is charged, you can switch it on using the magnetic switch on the bracket.
• Fill the glass with flowers, sand or shells - get creative!
• The solar module can also be charged via USB-C - the cable is not included.

The social aspect:

Since 2011, the solar lights have been hand-made by Suntoy based in South Africa. This has created new jobs, 75% of which are held by women. The workers are paid fairly, the starting salary is more than 50% above the local minimum wage while the standard work week is limited to 40 hours.
