Description
Stocks possess a wonderfully spicy fragrance reminiscent of cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, and vanilla. In the evening hours, stocks are particularly fragrant. Equipped with strong taproots, the plant grows upright and produces numerous, beautiful blossoms. An excellent cut flower that used to be a must at every debutante ball in the 18th century.
Note: Although stocks are frost-hardy down to -15 °C, they still benefit from winter protection.
