Description
The Hardy Bird of Paradise Shrub grows very quickly into a small tree. As a container plant, it can remain outdoors until late autumn before being moved indoors for the winter. The exotic flowers appear in midsummer and delight with their long red stamens.
Tips for cultivation:
- Slightly roughen the seeds with sandpaper
- Allow to soak in water for 24 hours
- Place the seeds approx. 1 cm deep in moist potting soil
- Cover with cling film and poke holes in it
- Remove the film every two to three days for 2 hours
- Keep the substrate moist but not wet
