Description

The common centaury has a long tradition as a medicinal plant and belongs to the gentian family. It is a protected species in the wild. It needs a sunny to partil sun location that is preferably dry.

Tips for cultivation:

  • Direct sowing in beds or pots is possible from April
  • Pre-cultivation indoors is also an option
  • To do this, scatter the seeds on moist potting soil and cover lightly
  • Cover with cling film and provide it with holes
  • Remove the film every two to three days for 2 hours
  • Keep the substrate moist but not wet
