Saflax Blue Lotus

This variety of lotus enchants with its striking blue petals and heady fragrance. As it is native to Egypt, it is not winter hardy and should be kept frost-free in winter.

Tips for growing:

• Sprinkle the seeds onto moist, sieved potting compost
• Cover with a fine layer of gravel.
• Place the seedling pot in a water-filled container.
• The water layer should cover the planter by approx. 1 cm.
• Place in a warm place at 20-25 ºC.
• After about 6 weeks, the seedlings can be gently transplanted.
• Do not plant too deep to encourage heavy flowering
• Plant outdoors in plant baskets in late spring.
