Kiepenkerl Savoy Cabbage- Gold Vital (Butterkohl)

This delicious savory cabbage has unusually valuable qualities. It is a variant of Savoy and is similar in growth and cultivation. This delicious vegetable ripens early and forms yellow-green loose heads with blistered, fine, tender leaves.

A particularly practical feature is that if you allow the heads to stay in the ground, you can harvest the leaves from outside to inside. The heart of the cabbage will grow again from early summer until frost. The fine cabbage is prepared as a delicate early cabbage, and is served either boiled or finely chopped with a white sauce. It can also be used in soup or eaten raw in salads. 'Vital Gold' has large, loose outer leaves, is self-closing and thus maintains its beautiful yellow interior color.
