Description
Carnations with large, dense double flowers are back in vogue. The 'Ikat' variety is known for its unusually speckled pink flowers that give it something exclusive. The new variety of the popular French Chabaud carnations are characterized by robust growth, resistance to rain and abundant flowering.
Their scent is strong, very comfortable, space-filling and yet not intrusive. Carnations are one of the most beautiful flowering plants in late summer and autumn. In perennial beds they are a welcome stopgap. They are also planted on beds, in front of walls and roadsides and look nice in the front yard. They bloom most beautifully in the first year, and can survive with some winter protection as perennials.
