Description

With their beautifully coloured, double blooms, hollyhocks are a quintessentially British cottage garden staple. Thanks to their enduring flowering period, they provide a magnificent display for many weeks.

Our Tips:

  • Sow in seed trays or directly into the open ground
  • Cover seeds lightly with soil and press down gently
  • Germination temperature: 15°C
  • Keep consistently moist during the germination phase
  • Once the seed leaves appear, continue to grow on in a bright position
  • After four weeks, prick out to 5 x 5 cm spacing
  • Plant out from June or July
  • Requires a nutrient-rich, well-drained soil
