Description
This chicory salad pampers gourmets even in the cold season with its pleasantly mild taste, which makes it ideal for salads. It is extremely hardy and can also be grown well by beginners. Its pinnate leaves make it very decorative.
Our tips:
- Direct sowing outdoors is possible after the last frost
- Remove weeds regularly
- Sunny but not too hot location is recommended
- Requires an evenly moist, slightly loamy, humus-rich soil
- Develops deep roots
- Harvest after the formation of a beautiful, dense-hearted tuft
- If the heads of lettuce are not damp, they can be stored for a few weeks
- Roots, tubers and flowers are also edible
- Weak consumer of nutrients
- Suitable for balconies
- True to type seeds
