Description

This proven variety is a true specialty for home gardeners. It is less sugary than modern hybrids and delights with its pleasant, traditional corn flavour. The cobs should be harvested during the "milky stage" and used within a single day if not refrigerated, as the sugar content rapidly converts to starch after harvest.

Our Tips:

  • Sowing rate: approx. 1000 seeds per 100 m²; approx. 5-7 seeds per linear metre
  • Start seeds indoors: recommended about two to three weeks before planting
  • Direct sowing from early May
  • Germination temperature: 25°C
  • Move to a cooler location after germination
  • Locating the corn bed on the west or north side of the garden is recommended to avoid shading neighbouring beds
