Description

This climbing variety produces yellowish, oblong fruits that can weigh up to 3 kg. This squash gets its name from its unique flesh, which separates into spaghetti-like strands when cooked. Please note that the skin is not edible.

Our Tips:

  • Germination: Requires temperatures above 22°C. Rapid emergence is crucial for healthy development.
  • Sowing: Direct sow outdoors after the last frost, typically from mid-May onwards.
  • Temperature Protection: On chilly May nights (below 10°C), cover plants with horticultural fleece for protection.
  • Handling: Do not "prick out" (transplant) young seedlings; they have sensitive roots and prefer to be started in individual pots.
  • Transplanting: Ensure young plants are not "overgrown" or root-bound when planting out; the ideal stage is when they have two to three true leaves.
