Description

This rapid-growing Asian salad forms dense rosettes with numerous feathery, light green leaves that offer a pleasantly mild cabbage-like flavour. It is highly productive and can be harvested up to five times (cut-and-come-again).

Our Tips:

  • Germination temperature: 10 to 20°C
  • Sowing rate: approx. 100-150g per 100m²; approx. 80 seeds per linear metre
  • Can be cultivated year-round on a sheltered balcony or in an unheated greenhouse
  • Optimal sowing period: March to October
  • In open ground, always loosen the soil and keep it well-watered to prevent flea beetles
  • Freshly harvested leaves taste fantastic in salads, as well as a garnish for soups or in stir-fries
