Description
This is a leek with flower-balls almost as white as the mountain peak of the same name! Pure white, interspersed with green flowers, the balls grow on stable, up to 1.20 m tall flower stalks that appear in May and last until June. They have first green, then later golden yellow, globular seed heads.
It is best to plant the elegant white leeks between perennials, such as high, white variegated Miscanthus plants. There, the sleek, high stalks rise above the sprouting shrubs and grasses, while the early yellowing foliage is hidden.
