Description
The tomatillo belongs to the nightshade family and is particularly popular in Central America. The ripe fruits can grow up to 5 cm in size, have a dark purple color, and taste tart to sweet-spicy. Tomatillos can be eaten either raw or cooked.
Tip: Tomatillos need a warm spot and also thrive wonderfully in pots. Since the plant cannot self-pollinate, two plants are always necessary.
