Description
Red Cabbage 'Granat' is characterised by its rapid growth and excellent storage qualities. It can be easily stored until approximately the end of the year. The heads reach a very uniform size and are particularly easy to prepare and clean.
Our Tips:
- Sowing: Starting plants indoors or in a nursery bed (Start seeds indoors:) is recommended.
- Planting Out: Do not let the seedlings become "leggy" or overgrown before transplanting, as this helps prevent premature bolting.
- Feeding: Red cabbage is a heavy feeder; it requires nutrient-rich soil and a consistent supply of water to develop firm heads.
- Pest Protection: To keep cabbage white butterflies and other pests at bay, we recommend covering your crop with a fine insect mesh or garden netting.
