Description
This variety produces beautiful, bright red, spherical radishes with firm yet tender flesh and a wonderfully peppery flavour.
Our Tips:
- Sowing Rate: 200–300 g per 100 m²; approx. 30–40 seeds per linear metre.
- Sowing: Sow directly in an unheated greenhouse from late January, or outdoors under horticultural fleece from mid-February.
- Soil Requirements: Highly adaptable; these radishes have no specific soil preferences and thrive in most garden conditions.
- Watering: Maintain consistent soil moisture to prevent the roots from becoming "woody" (pithy) or unpleasantly hot.
- Pest Prevention: To deter flea beetles, regularly hoe the soil surface to keep it loose or grow the crop under protective fleece.
