Description

This high-yielding variety produces healthy foliage and robust, tapering yellow carrots with a wonderfully aromatic flavour. Thanks to their firm texture, they are exceptionally well-suited for long-term storage.

Our Tips:

  • Sowing Rates:
    • For bunching (with tops): approx. 100 seeds per linear metre.
    • For maincrop/washed carrots: 80–100 seeds per linear metre.
    • For processing/large roots: 60–70 seeds per linear metre.
  • Soil Management: Carrots require loose, free-draining soil that is not prone to "capping" (forming a hard surface crust). If you have heavy soil, we recommend growing them on raised ridges to improve root shape.
  • Row Marking: Because carrots can take a long time to germinate, try mixing your seeds with a few radish seeds. The radishes emerge quickly, marking the rows so you can weed safely without disturbing the carrots.
  • Thinning: If seedlings are overcrowded, thin them out to ensure each root has enough space to reach its full size.
