Description
The Round Black Winter is a deep black, round radish with white, firm flesh and a pungent taste. It does not tend to get furry and is ideal for growing in winter. The radishes can be sliced, grated or chopped and eaten raw. They go well with pretzels and beer and taste great on sandwiches or in salads. Make sure to install insect nets around the plants to keep them safe from maggots.
- Tip: The plants germinate in the cold, so they need a germination period of about 7 days at 5 - 10 degrees before germination.
