Kale is a nutrient-rich winter vegetable with delicious, dark green, curly leaves. It is very productive and versatile.
Our tips:
- Harvest leaves from bottom to top and remove the midribs of the leaves
- Requires loose, loamy, deep, humus-rich soil
- Suitable for balconies
- True to type seeds
- Good neighbours: carrots, celery, Swiss chard, legumes
- Bad neighbours: leek vegetables, potatoes, cabbage
