Bionana Organic Carrot "Nantaise"

This particularly large carrot has an impressive, bright orange colour, a crunchy bite and is very aromatic. It tastes just as good raw as cooked or as a juice and is a delicious ingredient in a variety of dishes.

Our tips:

• Can be sown outdoors from February to late summer
• Pre-sowing indoors not necessary
• Water little, but regularly
• Requires a deep, loose, humus-rich soil
• Needs enough space to develop
• Temperatures above 25°C are not ideal for growth
• Carrots harvested late can be stored in a cool place in a box with soil and sand until spring
• Watch out for animals above and below ground who like to nibble on these sweet carrots
• Medium consumer of nutrients
• Suitable for balconies
• True to type seeds
• Good neighbours: savory, leek
• Bad neighbours: potatoes, parsnips, celery, beets
• Crop rotation: 3 to 5 years
